The City of Farmington's New Transit Manager Andrew Montoya discusses recent changes to the Red Apple Transit bus system in San Juan County. Those changes include better coordination with Navajo Transit buses arriving from Shiprock and other parts of the Navajo Nation and making sure buses arrive at San Juan College in time for 8am classes. Also discussed: Integration with Google Maps to better show transportation options and a semester pass available to San Juan College students offering unlimited rides for $45.

This week our cinema geeks review Strictly Ballroom, That Touch of Mink, and The Revenant.To start is Baz Luhrmann's Strictly Ballroom, where a would-be champion ballroom dancer (Paul Mercurio) in need of a partner agrees to take up with a clumsy rookie (Tara Morice) who shares his passion for going where the music takes them instead of the same old, tired steps.After that is Cary Grant and Doris Day in That Touch of Mink about a millionaire ladies man who is beguiled by a frank office worker, and vice versa. The film is one of the first sex comedies about the trials and tribulations of dating in the late fifties/early sixties.Finally, out in theaters, is Leonardo DiCaprio in The Revenant. A period tale about a scout who is left for dead by a greedy trapper, the film has many storylines and themes that revolve around survival and the bleak nature of life and death in the American frontier.
