Holiday says she mostly works with survivors of domestic violence and her first duty is to make sure the survivor (and their children) are safe in the immediate aftermath of a domestic violence situation. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Four Corners Storytelling Festival performer Eldrena Douma joins Farmington Public Library Program Coordinator Jenny Lee Ryan to discuss the 2016 Festival with Scott Michlin. The event takes place oct. 14-15 at the Farmington Public Library and Totah Theater. All events are free, but some require registration which can be done here. Douma spoke about her native history and her visits to local schools on Thursday to share her stories.
