Pat O'Connell, Director of Planning and Resources for PNM discusses the company's Power Planning Presentation in Farmington from 7-9pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Henderson Fine Arts Center at San Juan College. PNM is proposing eliminating the use of coal-fired power generation by 2031, which could put the future of the San Juan Generating Station and associated San Juan Mine in jeapordy.
In the second-half of the program, Mike Eisenfeld, Energy & Climate Program Manager for the San Juan Citizens Alliance, discusses what a possible move away from coal could mean for San Juan County and economic development efforts.

FHS Sophomore Keely Stockham and Kerry Schrock discuss the FHS Fun Run to benefit training for Sugar, the training dog for Shrock's daughter Kiera. Kiera has been diagnozed with type 1 diabetes and other autoimmune issues. Sugar can be trained to alert Kiera and others on high and low sugar levels that can be life saving.
The FHS Fun Run is Saturday, May 13, 2017 9-11am at the FHS Track. Registration is $5 plus one can of food.
