Also discussed, the Salvation Army's work with the Roof shelter in Farmington, which is slated to open on Nov. 1, 2017 (if not sooner), the regional substance abuse and rehabilation program in New Mexico and the 2017 Bell ringing campaign and the T's for Turkeys event November 16, 2017.

Youthbuild Case Manaer Joshua Evans and intern Danielle Werito-Begay discuss the program with members Tresean Janis and Jezlain Dan. Youthbuild seeks to help native american young people complete their GED and learn skills for a future career. The program will host an open house from 7-9pm on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the Capacity Builders office in the 400 block of W. Broadway in Farmington.

The event is designed to explain to students and potential students the programs the school of energy has to offer, some of which may be useful to careers outside the energy industry.
Also discussed: the new Tribal Energy Management program and expanding the CDL (Commercial Drivers License) Program.
