Archaeologist Paul Reed discusses an ambitious exhibit that was set to be installed at Chaco Canyon but has been delayed indefinately. Concerns have arisen over the ability to keep the exhibit protected with exact climate controls at the Chaco Canyon Visitor's Center. Utilities at the remote location are not as reliable as one would hope.

Archaeologist Paul Reed (Salmon Ruins, Archaeology Southwest) discusses the recent agreement between the BLM and BIA to work together on oil and gas protections for the greater Chaco Canyon area. He also discussed some of the archaeological protections on state and federal land where the controversial Dakota Access Pipeline is being built, but why there may be concerns about the pipeline's path across private land, which is not open to as much scrutiny.
