San Juan County Partnership Executive Director Pamela Drake and Farmington Police Lieutenant Taft Tracy discuss a proposal to increase the liquor excise tax in New Mexico by 25-cents per drink. The proposal will go before the NM Legislature in 2017. Drake and Tracy explain that proceeds from the increase would help the state pay its share of increased costs of expanded Medicaid, and also help pay for treatment in communities across the state.
