Aztec Schools Superintendent Kirk Carpenter gave an update on the district's plans to re-open Aztec High School.
Students at all Aztec schools except AHS returned to class on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017. Carpenter says students will be allowed to go back into Aztec High School this Thursday and Friday before the building re-opens for classes Monday, December 18, 2017.
Counseling services will continue to be available for any student, teacher or staff member of any Aztec School.

San Juan County Undersheriff Shane Perrari gives an update into the investigation of last Thursday's shooting at Aztec High School. Ferrari said the investigation has now shifted to learn if the suspect told anyone about his plans or there were any warnings that went unnoticed. The suspect killed two students at Aztec High School before killing himself.
Classes for students in the Aztec School District are canceled today, Monday, December 11, 2017.
